How One Yoga Looking Pushup Can Work The Whole Body We want results and we want them now, hence the ever-changing technology. This actually lends itself to our fitness and health needs. So are there any exercises one can execute in as little time as possible and still be able to achieve a solid workout? The answer may lie in this yoga-looking exercise. Have you guys heard of the Hindu-Push ups? In a nutshell, they kick butt and give you the best of both worlds...Yoga and Calisthenics. To me it's sort of downward facing dog (an essential Yoga for beginner's pose) meets the Cobra Pose (with the legs apart though) Being as though I never cared for push-ups and sometimes just don't have the time to go through a whole Yoga routine from Sun Salutations to the Breathing Exercises, I have since integrated Hindu-Push ups as a part of my Yoga Exercise regimen...of course with my indispensable Sun Salutations. Several people have since discovered the benefits of this yoga-esque calisthenics exercise that even some go as far as to say it is Yoga. I will have you know that ancient religious monks have incorporated them into one of the 5 Tibetan Rites, that they execute and they even have their place in military workouts even though they are labeled as ?dive-bomber? push ups. Either way, they are amazing. Here is the technique and like me, after reading this next paragraph, take a pause and try 2-3 out right quick. -Get on all fours. -The starting position is with legs spread wide and butt up in the air. -From there, bend your elbows as in a regular pushup, bringing your back down in a circular arc -Straighten your arms and end up with your chest up and your hips almost touching the ground. When done properly and combined with deep breathing (breathing in on the way down and exhaling-looking up) Hindu pushups build amazing lung power as well as incredible upper body strength and endurance. They also improve flexibility in the shoulders and hips as well as the upper and lower back. Now friends, in regards to the Sun Exercises, Remember my dear beginner yoga enthusiasts, it is a must-have and something that you want to keep in your list of exercises as well. So, who still thinks Yoga takes too long for exercising purposes, trust me after you try the Hindu-Push ups, you will think otherwise. In Friendship,
